2010 HAPPY NEW YEAR
I think its quite appropriate that our Life Change Experiment spans the turn of a decade. After all, the whole thing is about changing the old ways of thinking and doing things, and embracing something new.
Breaking this generations old and stale values is not easy when everyone around you is still frantically holding onto them, to keep their own treadmills turning.
But the relentless pursuit of ‘more’, at the expense of family and health. The incredibly childish and destructive concept of keeping up with the jonses. self inflicted stress, self image fladulation, mounting debt, working to make other people wealthy, and the general erosion of a sense of happiness, fulfillment and meaning, are all things our experiment aims to tackle in its quest.
Funnily enough ten years ago today things for me were VERY different. I was standing on a 10 million dollar yacht supping Champaigne with a bevy of celebs from tv and the business world. I was stressed out beyond beliefe about my businesses, partying way to much to relieve this stress, (a bottle of vodka almost every night) , and deeply frustrated and depressed over all the things I felt I lacked. Not least my own sense of self esteem.
It took me the best part of 10 years of pain misery, science research and study to get to the point where I had the strength to step out of my self inflicted mental prison, and even then I still had to put this Life Change rocket up my ass, to shake of the last remaining remnants of my rut haha
But the truth is no matter what you hope for this year, New years is just a day like any other. We make it special only by agreeing that it is so, So its magic, transformational powers, healing energy or just plain party spirit is really a figment of our imagination.
If this is so why do we leave it 365 days to start seriously thinking about change
Rather than putting all your hopes and fears into a single day I want to make this year a year of putting all my hopes into EVERY day. Why not? After all one is just like the next. Since how I see them has always been up to me, why not extract the magic that is New Year and make every day new years day.
Its very easy to get caught up in the supposed ‘reality’ of labels, special days, rituals, magic moments, and build our lives around looking for the next one that might make things better. Instead of realizing the real magic is in the fact that EVERY new moment is another fresh opportunity.
The more people I talk to on The Life Change Experiment, the more I hear of great techniques, amazing miracles, life changing practices etc….I realize the common thread is not their ideas, experiences or methods, which, lets face it, vary greatly. But rather it’s their belief in their belief that changes their lives.
How can we ever get the full effect of any life change when we doubt ourselves and don’t honestly expect results. True Life Change and hence the illusive ‘magic’ of results comes from true beliefe.
Of course this is hard to have when you have been ‘let down’ in the past , or have a cynical or ‘prove it first’ type attitude.
But recently i have been experimenting with the concept and results of belief itself. Imparting ‘temporary’ but total belief into a moment and to my amazement I found my subconscious and the world around me acted as if it were true.
I know i have spoken on this before but i wanted to mention it again as it has had such a profound effect, and is the perfect tool for anyone wanting to look at making this year something special
I am sure this ‘releasing of ‘magic’ due to faith’ is the essence of some of the more common metaphysical and religious phenomenum people say they experience that cant be explained or repeated under the skeptics eye, but have a profound effect on the experiencee
Call it the placebo effect – call it the power of faith or just believe its something bigger than yourself it seems to work regardless of what you believe – Just as long as you do!
Anyway I would love your thoughts on the power of belief (over and above ‘provable or expected reality’) Is it really the key or are there other forces involved. Or perhaps its all just codswallop and good things simply come down to hard work and luck.

hi, geoff, bessie and bluebelle,
it’s jerry from mobi-secure, happy new year to you all, how’s the trip going? i hope you now have a better idea of how mobi actually works and what you can actually do with it.
security, looks, convience and safety.
do you think it is better for the average camper or for people in motorhomes?
i forgot to mention by fitting an extention lead through all belongings left outside at night and alarming the mobi, if disconnected the alarm and strobe will be activated.
Getting great feedback from people who have purchased a mobi whom have been travelling and how great a product it is as people were being broken into all around them.
have a great time.
love to hear your thoughts on mobi

Dear Geoff and Bessie, It is so nice to find someone putting into words exactly how I feel. I am 68 soon and love life. I want to congratulate you and wish you all the best in your quest.
Confidentially: I came to Qld to start a new life. Have learnt 100′s of ballroom and line dances and am excited about wanting to enjoy every moment of every day. I wish I could find a friend who is adventurous. I have travelled all over Australia and been seen 6 of the ancient wonders of the world, and hope to keep on enjoying every day.
Good luch and God Bless.

Gidday, I’m a bit hesitant to post a blog on here as it is not something I normally get into but I thought it could be interesting but possibly dangerous to put my email “out there” so here’s hoping this aint a mistake.
Happy New year to you too. I think it is a great “experiment” you are into and I hope you find what you are looking for and have a wonderful journey physically, mentally, socially & spiritually.
I am a great believer in the Word of God.(Are you saying “uh oh” yet?)LOL. After all it was with a Word he created the Universe. His words are powerful and when our words & actions line up with God’s Word (the teachings of Jesus )our lives then become meaningful both to us and a blessing to our Creator. He showed indescribable Love for us by willingly giving up His perfect life in exchange for our imperfect ones. In return I have found that living life God’s way is totally at odds with my selfish nature but the power of God’s Spirit was promised to all who place their faith in Jesus as God’s Son to help us overcome our selfish ways. I have found this to be my life changing decision at the age of 33 (15 years ago) and have never REALLY wanted to go back to living just for me which was empty & desolate pretty much. It required a discipline (hence “disciple”) of my will surrendered to His which was to devote my life to fellowship with God & his children, His Word and using the gifts He had given me to share with others. Not to say that my actions saved me. God did. It is definitely a struggle of the will at times but doing these things by willing obedience & being with like-minded people, bring the blessings of Love & Joy into my life which I know is eternal despite what I see going on in the world, for all who put their faith in Him. That is not to say my life is perfect, far from it.Quite challenging at times especially when opposition comes. But knowing that it is God’s gift to me, always brings me closer to Him “because he first loved us while we were still sinners”.
I guess I will leave it at that for now but I do believe when we speak positive words to one another, it builds us up and the negative thoughts & words only serve to tear us & others down (as it says in the Word) so unfortunately most of what we see in the media portrays the negative so no wonder it can mess with our heads. When I need a lift spiritually it can be the hardest thing to pick up my Bible and read from it, but I never regret doing it because the Spirit speaks to us through His word when we have made him Lord & Saviour.
Sorry I’m still going on aren’t I? I think its maybe a woman’s privelege.
Anyway, God bless you guys and safe travels & have fun.If you want to talk further, please feel free.
