Some of my greatest times is sharing life with a low budget with my son, family, and friends you don't need a lot of money to have fun feeding the ducks at the gardens with a loaf of bread, sharing fish and chips at the beach after travelling on a day rover on public transport to get there. Watching the wildlife or waves smashing on the shores is great seeing the sun rise or set on the horizon is great. As long as you have each other life is great enjoy yourselves and don't worry about things life has a funny way of solving every situation take care and keep safe. Jeannette

Hello Bess & Geoff,

How exciting for you both to have your first major hurdle overcome ie a Winnebago to travel and live in!!

I have always hoped that after rearing five children, I might meet someone nice and become a "grey nomad". Met the nice guy two years ago and we're (like you) trying to figure out how we're going to get about when we don't have a camper van or the money to buy one.

Still, look where you were and where you are now. One never knows what's behind that door that opens "tomorrow".

My angels are always with me (how else would I get a park on Saturday mornings?) and I pray that your angels stay with you on your journey and always in the times to come.

My very, very best wishes to you and your little one.

G'day to all, Just a quick line to wish to you all every good wish on your journey; wish I had the gumption to do the same but like most people,I'm too tied down to possessions, too scared to let go!I'm now at the age where it's too late for me but I'm trying to encourage my 5 sons to enjoy life to the fullest, get out and live but I think I have burdened them with my attachment to possessions. You two are a breath of fresh air that society needs; pity we didn't all believe in our own inate abilities and trust ourselves a little more; I think we would all be happier and society less burdened with depression and mental illness.Anyway, I hope the Universe watches over you all and the Life Energy of Earth sustains you throughout your journey; good luck, enjoy and continue to be the inspiration we all need!!!!!!!
G’day Geoff and Bessie

Its great to read about you, I think we have lost so much in modern society today. Technology that is designed to make our livers easer I think tends to complicate our lives and contribute to the fast paced stress we tend to heap upon our selves. I am no hippy but I think we all could shed some excess clutter in our lives and try to regain what we have lost. Good luck and I will be following you with interest.

Good work, E.Van Arken

Hi Bessie and Geoff,
I sent you guys an email earlier on when this had just started. I haven't actually been back to this site until today. My life is shifting at the moment and i have no idea where i will be this time next year. I believe things happen for a reason and i think i read about you both for a reason. I admire your courage in giving away your possessions and trusting in the universe. I'm not sure about giving away all my possessions(!) but will try to trust the universe to show me the way and to trust myself in the decisions i make. Anyway, good luck on your lifes journey!!

Good on you!! I'm sure on your travels you will find that some of the best people - interesting, caring, helpful, down-to-earth people!. They can be found in caravan/holiday parks or camping grounds around the country.

When I've stayed in a hotel or at 'serviced apartments' or the like, the neighbors never came over with a bottle of cold water & a plate of snags to see us through until we got the set-up finished. But on all of my caravan holidays I have been pleasantly surprised by the kindness of strangers.

And, on another subject, I have to tell you that I am enjoying the liberating feeling of giving 'stuff' away. I am moving house in less than 2 weeks and have so far sorted out a huge pile of things for a local charity. Nowhere near the quantity or quality of your effort, but you guys have been an inspiration in making me think about what I really 'need' and what is just 'stuff'.

Keep up the good work and hope to spot you passing through 'Bris Vegas' in the future!!

Cheers,
Mel

I hope the weather stays fine on your adventure ,and the sun shine
on your backs and a smile on all of your faces .

The best of luck when your journey begines.

This is a life changing experience for all of your young family,
in the future you can look back and say , we dreamed of an adventure and we dared to forfill that dream and Live life to the full. To gasp life in both hands and enjoy every moment of, to treat life as an adventure, what ever life present to us as humans.
