Cold but very beautiful up here! I just can’t figure out why I got so stuck in my city rut, when places like this were just a hop skip and a jump away….ahhh well. Better late than never!

Bess has been ill. Like death warmed up yesterday and BB has been spluttering and crying almost as much. Fortunately I’m ok so I’m holding the fort again

TEEN LOSES MUM N DAD But beats the odds to help others

Brought to our attention the other day was a young lady. Whilst in the middle of her HSC both her parents died of cancer.

She went on to pass the HSC, being the 1st in her family to do it, and is now working to help teen literacy.

It takes quite a person to stay focused through such an extreme loss and it’s great to see her putting what she has learnt to good use helping other teens.

We are hoping to help her out with a few things she needs since she has been such a rock for others.

FLOW, COFFEE * THE END OF THE WORLD

We met a religious group called the 12 tribes in Kangaroo Valley at the beginning of our journey. They told us of their café in Katoomba

So in a strange confluence of events that started with a very pleasant random guy knocking on our window to introduce himself, and telling us ‘The end of the world is near’ and the Pope and Arnold were in charge of it.

We ended up getting him to give us a recommendation for a good lunch and wound up, at this very café.

Ok so who takes café recommendations from crazy guys. Well in his defense he seemed nice enough, So you can imagine how surprised we were to find out it was the café we had promised 6 months ago we would visit.

The 12 tribes members live like the original apostles. Looking like amish with plain clothing and beards they share all their worldly goods. Pooling resources and all working together. They believe they are keeping to the strictest word of the bible to live humble lives in the service of others, and they certainly seem to do just that.

They also cook up a storm. So if you get to Katoomba, visit the Common Ground Café for a unique experience and some refreshing outlooks on life.

QUESTION:- So back to our ‘crazy guy’ – I’m curious how many of you think we are near the end and what the signs are.
