What a BEAUTIFUL DAY in the capital city. Canberra really is very pretty when you are not rushing off a plane to a job like we usually are when we get here.
Last night we spent it right by the edge of the lake looking at Parliament house out our window. I have no idea if we were allowed to park there but it was just another one of those million dollar views Winnebago throw in for free as part of their extra’s package haha.

BLUEBELLE STRIKES IT RICH
Bess noticed BB was chewing on something in a shopping centre yesterday. On closer look BB pulled out of her mouth and held proudly in the air a crisp new $50 note. Seems having someone with eyes a foot off the ground can come in useful sometimes.

SINKING CITY FEELINGS
Bess pointed out that the last 2 times we got to a big city I had a few days of feeling down. I really hated losing that feeling of centeredness I was able to get in the country. Seems when there is a city sensory overload, all the old patterns and thoughts kick in.
Suddenly you are not working hard enough, you don’t have enough, you don’t look good enough and your life is not exciting enough!
BUT WHAT’S CHANGED? I’m still the same person I was before I drove into town. I have the same amount of stuff, the same abilities and the same friends and family.
How can I suddenly feel inadequate, lazy and underachieving? When only a day before I felt lucky, happy, centered, wealthy and inspired.
SIMPLE. I buy into a collective illusion that oozes from every pore in every city. MORE!
Remember the Classic line from Harry Met Sally ‘I want what she’s having’. The 24/7 modern illusion that happiness comes from possessing more of what you think you don’t have enough of yet. And the corresponding inability to just sit still, and be!
The problem is that this is a brain pattern, a habit, an addiction, a belief system, but lack is NOT A FACT. It’s a state of mind!
Sure you may not HAVE!
But the FEELING of inadequacy, despair, desire of not enough is entirely a product of your own thoughts! Let them ruin your day/life or not
I have decided that if we worked as hard on reclaiming our power, our thoughts and our emotions as we do wearing that rut to and from work, for the best part of our lives, we would probably be a lot better off.
The good news is brain patterns can be changed if we really want. AND I DO! So bring it on Canberra. Next stop my ultimate challenge! Sydney.
THOUGHT:- What is your time on earth really worth $15, $50, $500 an hour? – Ask a dying man?

We always have the same “holiday over” feeling when returning from a great country-side trip as well. For us, it’s the first set of traffic lights that rams home the return to city life.
Cheers,
Simon
