HOT AIR WELCOME
What a lovely sight to wake up to this morning. Hot air balloons buzzing over the Winnebago.
Yesterday we pretended it was the weekend, since Bess starts shooting today and so we poked around a few wineries and tourist spots.
However we managed to run into several ‘Life Changers’, who stopped us in the street and cafe and told us what they had been inspired to do from following our experiment.
I CAN’T TELL YOU HOW MUCH THIS MEANS TO US. To hear that so many of you have used our experience to better your own life and the lives of others.
I don’t know about you but it seems so much easier when you know others are there doing it with you in their own way.
PLEASE PLEASE keep us informed so we can share your stories with all those others Life Change Members on their own quest. (happy to keep you anon if you are shy).
WHAT I WISH I HAD KNOWN AT 18
A local Hunter Valley lad we discovered put together this fantastic book we found yesterday.
Its advice from 80 extraordinary people on what they wish they knew at 18. He also has a new one called ‘what I wish I knew about love.
QUESTION:- WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU HAD KNOWN? I would love you to post your thoughts. Either on the facebook post or here!

I have that little book, read it last yr!…I wish i had the wisdom and understanding of things that i have now, and the clarity to see things as they really are..I think that together with the fun, excittment and challenges 18 offers us, could be quite an adventure!…Or maybe I just need to re discover my 18yr old self now (at 37)?
At 18, I wish I’d known that love is love and abuse is not love, and that what adults did was not a child’s fault. I wish I’d known that self awareness was a gift to be cherished and nurtured. I wish I’d known that being relaxed, unguarded and spontaneous was an expression of joy and not a dangerous situation. I wish I’d known that I am lovable and loving, and that not all intimacy feels bad. I also wish I’d known that there are other options and that I could make choices for myself from a place of love rather than a place of fear. At 18 I wish I’d known I had nothing to be ashamed of, and that my soul is pure and that I was a good person. At 18 I wish I’d known that if I looked inside I would find all the love I was fearful I might lose, and I may have made some more independent and confident choices… at 18. Of course, at 18, I couldn’t have known all these things and so now at 41 I get to choose my life and my responses, and I choose freedom, with love! What a joyous journey this writing was. Thank you for the opportunity to express a ride through time and space, from darkness to light. I love this.
I wish I had known that I didn’t have to do anything I didn’t want to do. That success and money should not be aspired to, and neither will a title. That nothing of what people tell you is important in life, is actually important. I wish that someone had told me then that there was a different way to live, and that I would be perfectly fine if I just took that route from Day 1. And I wish I had known that nobody’s opinion is more important than mine, and that if people don’t respect me then they are not worth the time of day.
