The best trip for the two of you is to a good shrink. To anyone intelligent and in tune with reality the two of you are nothing but two self-indulging attention-seeking pretentious fakes...

I found this website through my beautiful Sarah, what an adventure, a real life change and I'll bet there'll be lots and lots of interesting people along the way. I think that we should all step back and take a breathe of fresh air sometimes, just to re-evalute where our life is taking us. Take care in your travels and most of all, have lots of fun and new experiences.

How funny to read of your meeting the Twelve Tribes at Kangaroo Valley.
My Mother and Sister are members of the Twelve Tribes community, and were at the festival that day selling bread and "spreading the word".
You wondered what makes people end up in a community like that....
Its not dissimilar to what you and Bessie are doing - looking for something more meaningful in life than the daily grind and accumulation of possessions.
My mother joined 12 years ago, she gave up everything she owned and joined the community.
I supposed she liked the sound of what they offered by way of lifestyle and meaning.
As a regular visitor (but non-believer) I see that the community is full of people who were all disillusion by what "life in the world offered" and felt unfulfilled by the treadmill of life that most of us participate in.
Although their beliefs are quite extreme, they do offer a wonderful community spirit and I observed the benefits in "it takes a community to raise a child" and see that the brotherhood and support must be very attractive to the "lost" and the people who seek that deeper meaning in their lives.
I'd encourage you to stop at the Blue Mountains restaurant - the food is awesome and it is a very interesting example of their ingenuity.
Although, be prepared to wait for a table, its very popular!

Safe travels!

Great to see you've finally hit the road! Look forward to reading about your journey...and maybe catching up if you make your way down to Jindabyne! We've just moved here for a life change - not as extreme as yours but fun all the same.
All the best, Lee Clark

Oh for goodness sakes Geoff...STOP WORRYING! Isn't the whole point of this to find inner peace. Is worrying going to change anything? Does it matter if you take a wrong turn...and anyway what is a wrong turn when you have no plan?
I'm envious of what what you are doing, but my life has taken a different route so I will find my own inner peace another way.
Stay strong and ENJOY.

G'day Geoff'n'Bess, glad to hear the first part of destressing is going well. Sometimes you live on stress for so long that you don't realise what it was like not to be that way. Enjoy.
