Hi Geoff, it sounds like you did all you could do, for this woman. The fact that you listened to her, really listened is all one can do sometimes!

It may sound cruel, but there are some people who thrive on drama and dread, in their lives. Hopefully, your contact with her and other people who listen to her may, one day lift her spirit.

When I come across people like that, and I often do....I just continued to think of them and ask the universe to protect and guide them and bring someone into their lives, who can somehow help. Sending them love and healing in my thoughts often, as well.

More importantly, the statistics quoted above are horrendous!!! Surely, the powers that be could start making a difference in stamping out 'child labour', starvation etc. I think we are all responsible and need to make head roads into this problem by doing and giving whatever we can, to at least help in some small way.

Even tiny gestures of help with food, money and time...would bring about change, little by little.

Glad you enjoyed 'Bright' it's been about 30 years since I've been there, but will be visiting my cousin in Bright, next weekend. Looking forward to it very much.

Wishing you continued happy travels ! Cheers Nancy

I love your quote about giving a man a fish!
In my experience most people just want someone to listen to them.
Not to tell them what to do - most people really do know what they should do, not everyone does it. There is nothing more frustrating than knowing what you should be doing, but for whatever reason aren't doing it and then having someone else come along and try to "fix" you.
I have discovered thru my life that if you listen to people they usually figure out what they need to do for themselves.
Cheers
