birthday16HAPPY BIRTHDAY – 16 Today

I am so so proud. Today my twin sons are 16.

They are amazing boys. Straight  A students with tons of heart, soul and passion.

Ben is getting ready for flight school to be a pilot and Beau’s not so sure yet.

Interestingly today I got an email from a Life Changer telling me about the book ‘The power of half’, about a young girl with a big conscience who convinced her wealthy father to sell give away half of everything they owned to fight poverty

The email continued:-

“if an adult listens carefully enough to a child, teen or otherwise, sometimes their seemingly innocent observations can spark profound positive change.

From the quest to sell their opulent home and move to a house half it’s size, this story tells a frank, humorous, and altogether human tale of one way that a family begins to grow, communicate, and share on a different level than many of us will never even attempt.

Inspirational,  remarkable, and to some people, no doubt, ridiculous, the story recounted in this book just might have the ability to give the reader the spark and gumption necessary to change the world for the better in their own way;

In my experience most people use their kids as a reason ‘NOT’ to take a risk, live their dream or do something bigger than themselves.

But here is a family that chose to use the fresh vision and inspiration of their child to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of many others.

From my perspective my boys were a massive inspiration to us stepping out into this life change.

  • I wanted them to know there was more to life than what they were told at school.
  • That life was not a trench to be suffered in – but a gift to be embraced
  • That at anytime there are options for anyone brave enough to take them.
  • That helping others was more rewarding than helping yourself
  • And that passions were there to be followed

Well behaved or badly behaved the kids in our lives are our greatest lessons – are we listening?

QUEENSLAND HERE WE COME

Looks like we start traveling up to QLD on Wednesday next week.

A life Changer told us about a company that lets people drive camper vans that have been rented, around the country for $1 a day – So we thought we would take the opportunity to go back up to QLD and stay with some inspirational people we know, whilst catching up on a few interviews we missed out on.
